一般的に華やかな絵付けが特徴の九谷焼ですが、これは絵付けがされていなく九谷焼に使用される花坂陶石の素地の器です。
ミースのことば"Less is more"と同様に"White is more"で視覚的な刺激ではなく、素材のもつ美しさが際立っていて、一目惚れでした。
また、先月その土を生産しているところに伺ってお話をうががったところ、九谷焼は工業化された九谷焼きと違い、すべてロクロで造られているという事でした。
それでこの繊細な曲線を出しているのにまた感動しました。
